Founded in 2006, Valhalla, New York-based Rev2 is a provider of risk management products built off of its RiskView Risk Concentration Analysis framework and visualization engine. The RiskView engine and framework identifies, compares and prioritizes vulnerabilities throughout an organization and also offers tailored RiskView solutions for service providers, manufacturers, financial services, government organizations and other enterprises. The RiskView software incorporates a data warehouse and visualization engine that helps users discover and prioritize risks hidden anywhere within the business. It combines the elements of various risk management disciplines into what the company claims is ‘one all-encompassing, scalable, repeatable framework.’
AlgoSec has announced version 6.2 of its AlgoSec Security Management Suite, boasting better analysis and change workflow for Palo Alto Networks and Blue Coat Systems products in addition to other automation and integration enhancements. This release comes on the heels of a strong 2011 with the Roswell, Georgia-based company boasting 95% year-over-year growth (an increase of 20% from 2010) and 120 employees. Last year also marked AlgoSec’s seventh straight year of profitability – helping the company achieve more than $5m in positive cash flow. AlgoSec also reports that it added roughly 170 customers last year, bringing its total to about 800, and now claims customers in 45 countries.
It’s been almost two years since McAfee acquired Cupertino, California-based Solidcore Systems and split the product line into two disparate pieces: McAfee Change Control and McAfee Application Control (MAC). The company recently released version 6.0 of the newly re-branded MAC offering that boasts integration with its Global Threat Intelligence (GTI) cloud-based threat intelligence service, desktop-friendly workflows, a new observation mode and 64-bit memory protection.
